Our Bodrumorphix PE bOdrumming for schools program provides either a full day package, which includes up to 6 sessions per day, or a single, taster session. Suitable for KS1 upwards. 

 

Teachers and staff all welcome. 

 

DBS, Public Liability Insurance, Full Music Licence, ID and documents can be provided.

 

Each bO'drumming session lasts for 45 minutes - including an appropriate warm up, freestyle, cool down and stretches.

Physical activity can support children’s mental and cognitive health. Being active on a regular basis can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and is related to improved self-esteem, greater social interaction among peers, and being more goal-oriented.

We bring all equipment needed for the session(s). 

Ear defenders/noise reduction headphones can be provided for individuals sensitive to noises.

Individual bO'drumming sessions also cater for those who prefer a taster session or one single session, as opposed to a full day package.

A non-competative program design that is fully inclusive and allows every individual to get fit together.

 

Adjustable bOdrumming equipment to cater for both seated and standing abilities - including wheelchair users.

Studies show that children of all ages respond faster and with greater accuracy to a variety of cognitive tasks after participating in a session of physical activity

Our Bo'Drummercise for Schools programs:

​

• build on, and add additional fun concepts to any current physical education programs already existing within your facility

​

• build not only capability, but capacity within the facility, to ensure that any improvements made to your physical education program now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years to come

​

• provide specialised targeted activities and therapeutic support to make sure all sessions offered are fully inclusive - therefore being sure to involve and encourage even the least active children

​

• encourage active play between children during non-classroom time, such as during breaks, lunch time and after school

​

• raise attainment in primary school physical activity to meet national curriculum requirements before the end of key stage 2. Every child should leave primary school able to participate and enjoy physical education where possible

Our Bo'Drummercise for Schools programs:

​

• actively encourage pupils to take on leadership or volunteer roles that support the delivery of sport and physical activity within the school

​

• embed physical activity into the school day through encouraging active travel to and from school, active break times and holding active lessons and teaching

​

Our Bo'Drummercise for Schools programs encourage confidence building, knowledge, awareness and other skills in teachers when teaching PE also by:

       

• providing staff with professional development, mentoring, appropriate training and additional resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively to all pupils, and embed physical activity across the school

​

• providing a specialised and qualified Bo'Drummercise coach to work alongside teachers to enhance or extend current opportunities offered to pupils

​

• introducing a new range of sports and physical activities (bOdrumming, drummercise and musical therapy) to encourage more pupils to take up sport and physical activities

​

• partnering with other schools to run sports and physical Bo'Drummercise activities and clubs

​

• providing more and broadening the variety of extra-curricular activities after school in the 3 to 6pm window

​

• increased participation in competitive sport, for example by: increasing and actively encouraging pupils’ participation in the School Games

​

• organising, coordinating or entering more sport competitions or tournaments within the school or across the local area, including those run by sporting organisations
